The plate is designed to help users eat up to 25% less per meal through behavior modification. It is inspired by the long living Okinawans eating philosophy: "Hara Hachi Bu”, eat only until you are 80% full".
The plate can be used one of two ways, the first is to not place food on the raised area. The second way is if food is placed there, learn to leave behind the food on in. It is through long term usage where behaviors and cycle of over eating can be changed.
